Hurumanu - Things that fly

Hello everyone today our science teacher talks about things that fly which is Aerodynamics and make a group of three people and make a paper aeroplane and measure its distance and behaviour

Flight
Aim: To learn about flight and aerodynamics.

Image result for flight forces

Definition:
According to google the definition
of Aerodynamics:
the study of the properties of moving air and
the interaction between the air and solid
bodies moving through it.

4 forces of flight:
  1.   gravity
  2.   thrust
  3.     lift
  4.   drag

Paper Plane:

Material:

1. Paper
2. Scissor

Steps:

1. Make a fast paper aeroplane
2. Put an aileron on the back of the flaps
3. Throw the paper aeroplane without the ailerons
4.  Next throw with the ailerons
5.  Measure how far the paper airplane goes

Findings:
My launch

Conclusion: I've learned a lot of things on this experiment. On my first throw with the normal paper aeroplane, it went to 3.6m and travel into a straight line, on the second throw with the clip on my paper aeroplane it went to 5m and travel into a straight line and on the 3rd throw with ailerons went to 3.2m and it loops. I've noticed that paper aeroplane with clips goes further than the other one.

Balloon Chemistry

Hello everyone today our teacher said that we're gonna do a science experiment about balloon and gases.

Aim: To see which chemical
mix creates the most gas.

Hypothesis: (What do I think will happen)
I think the first one (vinegar and baking soda) will grow bigger than the second one (salt and soda).

Materials:

  1.  2 ballon
  2.  2 water bottles
  3.  baking soda
  4.  soda
  5.  lemonade
  6.  plain salt
  7. plastic spoon
  8. vinegar
Steps:
  1. get your balloon, baking soda, soda, lemonade, plain salt, plastic spoon, vinegar
  2. get your water bottle
  3.  Put the vinegar to the water bottle
  4. Put the baking soda inside the balloon
  5.  Put the blowing part of the balloon to the tip

My images:
Findings:

Balloon 1
( 3 tsp baking soda, ½ cup vinegar)
Balloon 2
( 3 tsp salt, ½ cup soda)

Balloon Size (cm)
25cm4cm
Bubbles
(small, medium, large)
mediumsmall

Conclusion:This experiment was extraordinary. My hypothesis went right, the first balloon was comprehensive. But the second balloon went a bit awkward, the balloon went from 25cm to 4cm. I had heard about this experiment, but I hadn't tried this experiment, it was really exciting. I also learnt that you make Carbon Dioxide from this experiment.

Hurumanu - Skittle Experiment

Skittle Hello everyone today our teacher said that we're gonna do a science experiment on separate the skin colour of the skittles using chromatography method.

Aim: To separate colours from skittles by using the chromatography.
Materials;

Definition: Chromatography is a method of separating out materials from a mixture.

1. Petrie Dish
2. Skittles
3. Water

4. Green skittles
5. Two blue skittles
6. Orange skittles
7. Yellow skittles
8. Red skittles

Process:

Step 1: Get your petrie dish

Step 2: Get your Skittles
Step 3: Get water

Step 4  Put your skittles on your petrie dish
Step 5: Once you've put your skittles on your petrie dish put a small amount of water on it
Step 6: And wait until it the colour on the skittle separate.

Conclusion: What have I learnt from this experiment?

I learned how to get the colour on the skittle using water. I liked how the skin of the skittle slowly separate from its main candy 'cause of the water melting it and form a colourful water rainbow. And then we ate it.

But it was the wrong colour. 100WC

Hello everyone today I'm doing my 100 WC about a saying "but it was the wrong
colour"

One day there was a kid named Leomord who likes to paint on walls. He painted
a lot of walls since he started painting. He had a lot of friends that like painting
walls too.

One morning there was a boy named Gusion, he is a friend of Leomord. Gusion
bought a new huge house. Gusion wants a painting in his new house. He called
Leomord to paint his house. He said “paint blue colour on my house,” gusion
said. But when he comes back, Leomord painted red paint on the house. “But it
was the wrong colour.” Gusion said.

Hurumanu - Rainbow Paper

Hello everyone! today we are doing a science experiment and brainstorming about forensics.

Aim: To separate colours by using the process of chromatography.

Forensics:
  • DNA
  • Fingerprint
  • Ballistics
  • Appearance
  • Genealogy
  • Forgery
  • Footprints

Material:

  • Filter paper
  • water base felt pen
  • plastic cup
  • water
  • pencil

Steps:
  1. Get your own material.
  2. Get your filter paper.
  3.  Get 2 water-based felt pens.
  4. Get a plastic cup.
  5. Rule a line 1cm above the bottom of the paper using a pencil
  6. Wait until the teacher will put water on it.

Conclusion: What have I learned?

I learn how to separate colours using Chromatography method, and how it works and what material we need. I love to see the colours mix together 'cause of the water. The water
goes into the paper and then suddenly it mixes the colour that we put on the paper and it comes up with 5 different colours.

How to make a Burger
Material:
  1. Burger

Ingredient:

To do:
  1. 1.Preheat a grill for high heat.
  2. 2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion, cheese, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, egg, onion soup mix, garlic, garlic powder, parsley, basil, oregano, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties.
  3. 3.Grill patties for 5 minutes per side on the hot grill, or until well done. Serve on buns with your favorite condiments.

CIP and Singing

Hello everyone!

My group made a kiwi bird some are painting and putting a design on it for our cip. But I was not there 'cause we are doing singing at J7 we sing a lot of song like lonely, you are the reason, and a lot more. Ms always get angry because of the student always keep talking and laughing but it's still fun tho.

After I have done singing I get back to J1 to do our work on the kiwi bird but when I get there someone is doing the painting. That's why I do my blog.

Science Chemistry

Aim: To learn the names of 10 household chemicals and identify if they are a solid, liquid or a gas.

Equipment:

  1.  Soap
  2. Lemon juice
  3. Salt
  4. Sugar
  5. Vinegar
  6. Milk
  7. Onion gas
  8. Bleach
  9. Baking soda
