Slinkachu Research Slides

Kumusta bloggers, this past few weeks in arts we've been talking about Slinkachu's work, we also learned about focal points, leading lines, balance, symmetry/asymmetry and rule of thirds. After learning about his work and photography we were then set a task, which is to photograph small figures inspired by Slinkachu's work.

Slinkachu (b. 1979, Devon, UK) has been “abandoning” his miniature people on the streets of cities around the world since 2006. His work embodies elements of street art, sculpture, installation art and photography and has been exhibited in galleries and museums globally.

Here are some of Slinkachu's photography. :)

Here's the slide that we were working individually, we had to pick one of Slinkachu's art then draw it on the paper and put it on the slide, then specify what are the rule of thirds, leading and the focal point.

Overall it was a great term working on arts, specially working with Mr. Collins. I really love how Mr. Collins explains every single detail about and Slinkachu's work. I learnt a lot this term about arts in a interesting and joyful way.

Thank you for reading have a great day, please comment if you have any suggestion.

Im looking forward to Jellie park because I love swimming, it makes me happy and feel hyped up. The huge slides on Jellie Park, hanging out with friends outside school especially swim with them is making me really excited. I'm kinda nervous about people getting silly and naughty, an accident might happen. Probably hanging out with friends will be the most enjoyable.Swimming Png - Swimming Icon Transparent Background , Free Transparent Clipart - ClipartKey

Kia Ora bloggers welcome again to my blog, so for today in Wananga, we talked about what's gonna happen on week 8, which is field trips to Jellie Park, Adrenaline Forest and City Centre. On each location, there are 4 tasks to pick, so I picked Jellie Park's tasks. Week 6 - 100 Word Challenge

Kamusta bloggers, today in wananga we were a task to write about a place that we really want to visit and describe the place and why we want to visit there. Here's my writing, enjoy.

Wishing for the chance to go where I want to for free is not a wish anymore, because of this big bubble that I have. I have been thinking of where would I go, but the place that shines in my head is my hometown, it’s where I was born the Philippines. I would love to visit the stunning beaches and green big joyful mountains that are full of plants again, I also want to feel the warmth of the Filipino’s and my whole family again. Taste the mouthwatering street foods and my most favourite dessert in the world, halo-halo.

Halo-Halo -

Kapre | DLO

Kamusta everyone today in ESOL we talked about mythical creatures from around the world. After talking about the topic we were set a task to make a DLO, video, slideshow or a document about a mythical creature that's believed in our culture.

Me, Jv, Tristan, and Jullien talked about what creature and we'd decided to make a DLO about a tall creepy muscular creature that is called Kapre.

Here's the DLO that we made:

100 Word Challenge - Week 4

Kamusta everyone today in wananga we were set a task to write a 100-word story about a photo that our teacher showed us.

One humid morning, Shane woke up from a night of sleep, wash her face, did her bed, ate her breakfast, drank her black pure coffee,  and taken her shower. After doing her morning routine she eventually gets out of the house and went to her car, but when she gets there were a human-sized foot-prints on the hood of her car. She was confused and shocked about what could it, be so she called the police. Polices arrived at there house and started to investigate what happened. The police came up to her and told there was a robbery that happened last night.

Heroes and Villains Political Poster

Kamusta everyone today in Hurumanu 6 we we're set a task to make a poster about Political ad about our hero. I choose Donald Trump because I didn't have any choice.

Here's my poster:

Ps: Donald Trump isn't really my hero.

Gymnastics | PE

Kamusta bloggers, today in PE we did gymnastics, I haven't done gymnastics before so it was a great experience for me. I found out that gymnastics is very hard to do when you're not used to the equipment and if you're not fit.

Today my focus is the Mini Tramp.

My 3 activities from the card were:

  1. Forward Roll
  2. Straight Jump
  3. Sit Jump

Here's a video of me doing a forward roll.

I'm putting my videos later this week because Jullien has the and he hasn't sent it to me.

The hardest activity today was forward roll on a small trampoline.
It was difficult because I'm not used to doing any flips and using the trampoline.

200 Word Challenge - Week 4

Kamusta everyone today in wananga we were set a task to write a story about the photo that our teacher showed us using 200 words. Here's my work enjoy reading.

One day, Larry the scuba diver heard a news about a place in the deep dark blue ocean where you can find big black spotted whales, the news got his interest because Larry is into the ocean and sea creatures. After hearing the news he eventually planned to go to the place by himself without anybody to guide him.

Days past by very quickly, the of the trip came and Larry was very excited to see the whales. Larry arrived at the place and was very shock of how deep and blue the ocean is, he doesn’t always experience this kind of stuff so he enjoyed every second of the day. He can’t wait to scuba dive so he put on his scuba diving clothes and jump straight to the water while swimming and being amazed by how gorgeous the ocean floor and the sea creatures are, he didn’t realise there was a big hungry whale lurking and stalking him. He heard a big splashed so he turned his head around and saw the huge mouth and sharp teeth of the whale about to munch his whole body up, so he rapidly swam away from the evil whale and escaped.
