Anti Vietnam War Song

Kia ora bloggers this past two days in Social Studies we were learning about the Vietnam war, and songs that were written by the artist that played in Woodstock. These songs were written because many people around the world are against the war.

Give Peace a Chance - Wikipedia
There are lots of songs to choose from but I choose the song "Give Peace a Chance". This song is an antiwar song, and it was written by John Lennon. In my understanding, he is saying that the Vietnam war should stop and spread peace, and not war because everybody is against it. Everybody is talking about a lot of stuff but the only thing that he and many people wanted to be heard is to give peace a chance and stop the war.

Here is the full lyrics of the song:
Ev'rybody's talking about
Bagism, Shagism, Dragism, Madism, Ragism, Tagism
This-ism, that-ism, is-m, is-m, is-m
All we are saying is give peace a chance
All we are saying is give peace a chance
C'mon
Ev'rybody's talking about Ministers
Sinisters, Banisters and canisters
Bishops and Fishops and Rabbis and Pop eyes
And bye bye, bye byes
All we are saying is give peace a chance
All we are saying is give peace a chance
Let me tell you now
Ev'rybody's talking about
Revolution, evolution, masturbation
Flagellation, regulation, integrations
Meditations, United Nations

All we are saying is give peace a chance
Ev'rybody's talking about
John and Yoko, Timmy Leary, Rosemary
Tommy Smothers, Bobby Dylan, Tommy Cooper
