Hello everyone today in our science topic is about forensics.

Hurumanu - Fingerprints

Definition:
the application of scientific methods and techniques to matters under investigation by a court of law.

Finger prints

Aim: To look at the different types of fingerprints.

Materials: 

  1.   Balloon 
  2.   Fingerprint 
  3.   Ink pad 

Steps

  1. Roll your finger in the ink pad  
  2. Put your finger gently into the balloon  
  3. Inflate the balloon.  
  4. Have a look at your fingerprint and record what you see.

Conclusion:My fingerprint 1 (thumb)is loop and my fingerprint 2 (index finger) print is loop too. Christians fingerprint 1 (thumb) is loop and his fingerprint 2 (index finger) is loop too 

Questions:
Do people always have the same type of fingerprint on their thumb and index finger? Nope, not everyone has same type  fingerprint 
What was the most common type of fingerprint in your group? Loop

Dusting fingerprints:

Lifting fingerprints

Aim: To learn how to lift hidden fingerprints from an object.

1. Lifting and Gathering fingerprints.

Equipment:
  1. White Powder  
  2.   Brush
  3.   Plastic  
Method: 
  1. Press your finger to the plastic
  2.  Put your brush with white powder
  3. Wipe the plastic with the brush 
  4. Shake the plastic until you  can see the finger print 
  5.  Put a tape on the fingerprint part 
  6.  Lift the tape 
  7. You can see your finger print on the tape

Conclusion Questions:

What could you do to improve your results next time? I could improve my result next by not being so excited, aggressive, and stop talking to other and not being do focus on my blog.

Why do you think fingerprints are useful to crime scene investigators? Fingerprint is useful on crime scene investigation so the police can know who is the criminal. Everybody had its own fingerprint.
