Photo Montage

Kamusta everyone, last topic on arts is to make our own photomontage inspired by Hannah Hoch. I've made 3 photomontages by myself and my own Idea, but the one that's my favourite is the building photo montage.

What is your main subject matter? Ahead or portrait? An animal? A vehicle? What can we identify?

On this montage, this is not just an art this is a masterpiece. When you look closely you’ll see a montage of newspaper, building, and small buildings from other places, this is showing the idea of buildings located in the city.

Is your photomontage flat or does it have space (landscape or cityscape)?

What are your focal points?

My montage is flat or boring, as you can see it’s showing a cityscape made by newspapers

What do you want the viewer’s first reaction to be? Amusement? Awe? Shock? Puzzled?

Be confused, amazed, inloved with the montage and an urge to make a montage themself

Do you work in  black and white or colour? Does your colour create a mood or structure the collage?

The colour that I choose shows an aesthetically mood or vibe.

Does your photomontage have leading lines? Do you repeat parts?

I didn’t repeat any images to use. The leading line of this montage is the tall building on the upper part of the photo.

  1. Kamusta Khyle, Yes, you do have leading lines in the newspaper and building composition. Leading lines, lines that go somewhere in a picture, are often diagonal lines. The edges of the buildings lead back into space. Do any of the edges of the newspaper lead towards the building in the background?
