Kamusta everyone today in Science we were talking about Acid Rain, and we did an experiment similar to acid rain but in a small version.

Acid Rain Pathway |
Acid rain is caused by a chemical reaction that begins when compounds like sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are released into the air. These substances can rise very high into the atmosphere, where they mix and react with water, oxygen, and other chemicals to form more acidic pollutants, known as acid rain.
Acid Rain Experiment
Aim: To observe effects of Acid Rain
Hypothesis: I think it will affect everything around its area
Equipment: Petal, calcium carbonate, apple, universal indicator, bromothymol blue.
Method: In a petri dish place items around the edge. Wet dry ingredient with a drop of water. In the middle put a boat. Add a spatula of sodium sulfate to weigh boat and 5 drops of sulfuric acid. Quickly close the lid.
The universal indicator turned into red, the bromothymol blue went yellow, the flower loses its color a little bit same as the apple, nothing happened to the calcium carbonate tho. It all happened because of the reaction of sodium sulfate and sulfuric acid. The calcium carbonate supposedly bubbles a bit, but we might did something wrong that's why it didn't bubble.
