Each of the other characters on the run has a tragic background story. Why were Hayden, Roland, and Mai set to be unwound? Which do you think is the most tragic?
Roland was unwound because he beat up his stepfather, Mai got unwind because her parents wanted a little boy, and Hayden, he was unwound due to the fact that his parents often fought and eventually got divorced. In my opinion, the worst background story is Mai because just because she’s a girl her parents don’t want her, it’s like they don’t treasure their kids and didn’t accept her just because she’s a girl.
What makes Lev realize he doesn’t want to be unwound?
Pastor Dan told him the truth, that he does not unwind. He told Lev's parents that Lev is tithe and got kidnapped. Pastor Dan never told the police that he is unwind.
Connor is concerned the baby won’t be loved, and ultimately will die, so he takes it. What does this show us about him as a person?
Connor showed empathy to the little baby, he doesn’t want the baby growing with being unloved and lost.
In your opinion, by allowing new mothers to give up their children so readily, does it take away the value of a child?
NO, it doesn’t because the child still has a lot of potentials to grow and be a successful person in the future.
